About Greg

ggjames00@gmail.com

My name is Gregory James and I am a veterinary student at St. George’s University in St. Georges Grenada. I graduated from Colorado State University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s of Science majoring in Biomedical Sciences with a journalism minor. I aspire to be a wildlife/exotics veterinarian one day. That being said I also have a deep passion for photography and video and telling stories through those mediums.

I hope to one day merge my interest in working to care for wildlife with my photography and video work so that I can share my experiences and help inspire the next generation of animal activists. I enjoy being out in nature when I can and especially love nature photography. I think it is important to not lose touch with the natural world and I try to evoke those feelings in my photography whenever I can. In addition to wildlife photography, I also enjoy portrait, sports, and special event photography

In my free time I play guitar and piano, play basketball, and occasionally go mountain climbing and hiking. I have been a photographer for eight years. I was a staff photographer at the Rocky Mountain Collegian, a student-run newspaper in Fort Collins, CO for all four years of my undergrad, and was also the Photo managing editor my senior year. I was also a staff photographer for College Avenue Magazine for the last two years of my undergrad. These experiences with student media at Colorado State have helped me to grow not only as a photographer but as a colleague in a collaborative setting where I can work with fellow creatives to help craft an effective publication week-in and week out.

Whether you found my site because you got to meet me in-person, heard of me through a friend, or just stumbled across by chance, I’m glad you did. My goal is not only to give you quality photos and videos to capture a moment, but visual reminders that convey the emotions behind those moments.
